A little about me...

I'm Tayla, a 25 year old woman, who believes that women deserve to feel empowered and comfortable in their own skin. I'm a fully qualified Personal trainer and beauty therapist.

For the past 9 years of my life, I've worked in the beauty and fitness industry. I've spent almost every day seeing woman walk into the salon feeling one way, and walk out feeling 100 times better. I've built relationships with the most amazing, strong and unique women and I enjoy knowing that I am making a difference in their day by making them feel just that tiny bit more confident.

I've grown up with an understanding that women feel like they must change their body to keep up with society's standards. From as young as 11 years old, the media made me feel like myself and many other girls around me were not good enough. We were told we must have 'thigh gaps, toned stomachs and perky bums'. At the age of 14, I started working out, not to improve my health, but to change the way I looked, to fit into what society classed as 'attractive'.

Only in recent years have I've realised how beautiful and FUN exercise and food really is. It isn't all about sticking to a restrictive diet, obsessing over every single calorie I consume and doing the same workouts every day because I feel like I have to, not because I want to.

What TaylaKfitness strives to achieve

After many years of experiencing disordered eating, negative thoughts towards my own body image and trying lots of different FAD diets, I'm more than ready to teach every woman I can, about the importance of looking after not only your physical health, but most importantly your mental health. I want to completely erase any negativety towards food and exercise, and celabrate the priviledge of being able to take care of ourselves and have fun doing it. I want women to have chocolate for breakfast without feeling bad about it... because chocolate for breakfast is REALLY YUM!

I don't just want to give women their daily calorie goals with a little workout plan and send them on their way. I want to teach women and give them a good understanding of how you can make small changes in your life to reach your goals and have fun doing it. I want to teach women that they don't need to look on the back of every packet of food they eat to check if it's within their calorie goals, and that they can live their life without ever having to look at calories ever again. I strongly want to teach women the importance of just living your god damn life and not feeling any stress around the scales ever again. So lets do this TOGETHER!
